Where the Future is Born
Cérka is not just a project on paper — it is an ambition backed by partnership. We are building an innovation hub that connects the European semiconductor industry with leading Czech universities and local companies. Our vision is to create a “living laboratory” for technology transfer, where cutting-edge research is turned into real products.
AGRITECH — Semiconductors in the Landscape
Agriculture 4.0 in practice — this pillar transfers high-tech technologies from laboratories directly into the open field and farming practice. We focus on energy self-sufficiency and smart landscape management.
How to get involved: Development and testing of sensors for Agriculture 4.0, implementation of demonstration farms, environmental monitoring projects, yield optimization solutions, energy efficiency in agriculture, or modern agritourism.
HEALTHTECH — Health and Technology
We use biosensors and wearable electronics to monitor health and human performance. We focus specifically on elite sports, as well as the 60+ demographic (Healthy Aging).
How to get involved: Field collection and analysis of biomarkers, development of assistive technologies for seniors, movement analysis, clinical validation of prototypes, or integrating pedagogical aspects into healthcare.
AI SEMICON PLATFORM — Semiconductors and AI
The “brain” of the entire ecosystem, where chip design meets predictive models and artificial intelligence. We also address the circular economy in semiconductors and the impact of technology on the microclimate.
How to get involved: AI in the design and testing of structures, impact simulations (e.g. on local weather), optimizing chip power efficiency (Edge AI), Deep Tech incubation, or research into circular materials for electronics.
JOINT LAB — Prototyping, Design, Testing
The industrial gateway of the project. We will offer infrastructure for prototyping and stress testing that has been missing in the region until now. We bring cost savings to companies and access to equipment they would find hard to acquire on their own. Collaboration in shared spaces also opens the door to new projects and innovations across the entire supply chain.
How to get involved: In the coming years, you can look forward to shared use of “Clean Rooms”, measurements based on your specifications, reliability testing of drives and networks, prototyping cycles, validation of academic research for industrial practice, or collecting requirements for vertical R&D.
STEM & Tech Transfer
We are creating a bridge between academic know-how and real business. Our goal is to popularize science and raise awareness of the critical role of semiconductors and their applications in our daily lives. We support the development of technical talent and help experts build their own successful businesses.
How to get involved: Educational programmes on semiconductor technologies, organizing outdoor physics schools and summer STEM camps for high school students, leading technical clubs for young people, mentoring in the Deep Tech incubator, or supporting corporate spin-offs for experienced professionals (40+).
Embodying the Region’s Uniqueness
The uniqueness of our project lies in its location. The specific conditions of the Beskydy landscape, demanding operations, and the site’s modern equipment allow us to test real-time data processing out in the field. CÉRKA thus serves as a unique testbed for technologies that must survive in the real world, not just in laboratories.
Why right here?
- Neutral Ground: An institutionally independent environment that breaks down barriers between universities and corporate competitors.
- Industrial Anchor: A direct connection to the European semiconductor cluster and leaders such as onsemi.
- Talent Magnet: The concept of “Wallachian Switzerland” — a combination of high-tech work with the highest quality of life in nature.
