CÉRKA has taken another major step toward becoming the technological heart of the region. We have officially confirmed our partnership with the Czech National Semiconductor Cluster (CNSC), which represents the interests of the Czech microelectronics industry at the European level. This partnership is not just a formal act — it is a signal that the transformation of Trojanovice from a former mine into a high-tech district is taking concrete shape in today’s most important sector: the semiconductor industry.
Collaboration with the CNSC will focus primarily on preparing infrastructure that meets the demanding requirements of modern technology. Together, we will work on feasibility studies and fine-tune the technical parameters of networks and energy within the area so that CÉRKA is „semiconductor-ready“. Through our connection with the cluster, we gain direct access to the latest EU Chips Act trends and join a network representing thousands of high-tech jobs across Europe, including partnerships with giants like Silicon Saxony.
Another breakthrough milestone is our intent to join the prestigious European IPCEI AST (Advanced Semiconductor Technologies) project as a „Living Lab.“ CÉRKA will thus become a site where technologies are not only researched in theory, but directly tested in a real environment. Our goal is to build infrastructure for the validation and deployment of advanced chip systems, particularly in the areas of energy stability and smart grids.
CÉRKA is purposefully aiming to become an active player in the pan-European strategy for technological sovereignty and resilience.
