The future isn’t found, it’s built.

The smart landscape begins with a bold plan. We combine architectural quality with innovations that bring real value to future generations.

30+ Years of Protection

After decades of effort, the municipality took over land worth nearly a quarter of a billion CZK from the state in 2025. We are replacing mining with sustainable architecture and modern development.

220,000+ People

We are building a center of opportunity for the entire region. Our vision will bring modern housing, attractive relaxation spots, and top-tier career opportunities for local talent.

One Direction for Chip Innovation

Through the collaboration of companies, universities, and clusters, we provide a new impulse to industries and applications that have their roots here.

Transformation & Vision

Made in EU / Czech Republic / Beskydy / Cérka

CÉRKA is a supra-regional project born from the decision to take the future of the place where we live into our own hands. It connects business, innovation, and architecture into a functional whole that is becoming a natural hub for more than 220,000 residents in the surrounding area. It is not a one-off investment, but long-term work with a place so that it continues to make sense today and for future generations.

Education • Innovation •
R&D • Business

Educated people are the driving force of the region. We are preparing infrastructure for a kindergarten and primary school as well as activities for university students. The site will host a field office of the University of Ostrava and the Innovation Tower, which will connect students with real-world practice. For the growth of companies and startups based on chip technologies, spaces are reserved for prototyping and incubating fresh ideas. Smaller entrepreneurs with local products will also find their place in the services building. We want to support the emergence of regional and global brands and the transfer of know-how from local corporations and universities.

Cultural Life • Arts & Exhibitions • Sport & Tourism

Cérka opens the brownfield to the public through unique architecture sensitively placed in the Beskydy foothills. The heart of the site will be the former engine room, renovated into a community centre with halls and a coworking space. Active recreation will be served by a 25-metre climbing wall, a skatepark, and a circuit for skates or skis — all directly connected to a recreational reservoir. We are preparing places that will serve as sports and cultural facilities for local clubs and visitors from the entire region.

Housing • Schools • Services

Quality and affordable housing will blend sensitively with other functions. We are designing the entire site so that everything essential is within reach, creating a natural “short-distances” neighbourhood. Resident comfort will be supported by service buildings offering everything from a doctor and physiotherapy to cafés, shops, a barber, and other everyday services. We are building a smart village where housing, work, education, relaxation in nature, and basic amenities are within walking distance.

Bringing the Vision and Place to Life

Behind every great project stands a strong alliance. Our key partner is the Moravian-Silesian Region, which shares and supports the idea of creating a new, technologically advanced (super)region. The role of the state is also fundamental — thanks to its support we obtained the necessary land. The state-owned enterprise DIAMO has played an irreplaceable role in preparing the site — it invested nearly CZK 150 million in backfilling the mine, demolitions, and reclamation, creating a clean slate for our new chapter. To fill the space with life, we are now building a broad network of partnerships with universities, innovation centres, municipalities, and leaders from businesses and clusters.

Story & People of the Region

We build on the strong DNA of the region — its energy, resilience, and respect for nature. We are inspired by the strength of our ancestors, who were able to protect natural wealth and sustain life here even in challenging times. Today, we build on their work through modern development that gives the region a new perspective and meaning.
